Almost every facility or field where we play is used by lots of other groups (youth and adult). As such, we encourage our referees to never pick things up at the field - we don't know if it even belongs to one of our players. If a player or referee does pick something up, they just need to email info@fxasports.com and we'll try to make a connection.
We really strive to be courteous to our players who entrust us with their contact information. Because people leave things at the field all the time, what we can't do is contact everyone in the league every time someone leaves something - it seems like a simple ask, but think about a league with a dozen or more teams getting an email every week or two about a missing item. If you were a player in that league, it would drive you nuts!
Bottom line, if you leave something at a field - it is most likely still there, just swing by and check. If its at a school, it may have been put in their lost & found or security deck, so ask them next time you're there!
